I am currently a registered Associate Marriage and Family Therapist and I am excited to be a part of the BACA team and to provide mental health services to youths, teens, and their families! I received my Bachelors in Psychology from San Jose State University and my Masters in Counseling Psychology with a concentration in Marriage and Family Therapy from The University of San Francisco.

While pursuing my Master’s degree, I completed an internship counseling adolescents and youths with severe learning, emotional, and behavioral challenges. I provided individual and group therapy, in person and via telehealth during COVID, focusing on the development of various skills and worked with students to help them achieve their goals and equip the needed skills to use in their everyday life academically, socially, and mentally.

I have also worked as a Behavior Therapist in an ABA Center with children and adolescents helping coach and model educational, social, and emotional learning skills to support the increase in appropriate and safe behaviors. My work experience and personal life has taught me that all individuals are at different paths in life and that all individuals deserve the support to reach their goals and have access to mental health care services to help equip the skills to handle the challenges that arise.

My therapeutic interests are client centered, positive psychology, narrative therapy, mindfulness, and self-compassion. My clinical interests include working with children and adolescents on a variety of issues, such as anger, anxiety, and behavioral challenges. I strive to help my clients feel heard, seen, and validated meeting them where they are to help them reach their goals as a team.

In my free time I enjoy being out in nature, going for walks, going to plays and concerts, spending time with family, friends, and my cat, watching movies, and playing various board and video games, such as animal crossings and Mario.
