About Lucy Blevins:
Hi there! My name is Lucy and I am originally from New Jersey. I moved a lot growing up but found myself on the East Coast for high school and remained there for college, studying social work at Rutgers University. Prior to joining BACA, I have worked supporting youth through difficult life transitions and academic challenges as well as in the mental health policy space working to ensure that those who need crucial mental health services are receiving them. I am passionate about fostering resiliency and empowering youth and families. I strongly believe that those struggling are experts in their own lived experience and have the capacity to grow and thrive when given appropriate tools and support.
I believe in strengths-based approaches to behavioral change and am passionate about the use of evidence based interventions, while also personalizing care. I approach therapy with a curiosity about behavior with the core belief that behaviors are often reflections of unmet needs as well as considering the impact of institutional factors on mental health.
In my free time, I enjoy running, climbing, reading, and local community advocacy.
