About Dr. Karla Miranda:
Originally from Texas, I completed my medical degree at the University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center. I then pursued my residency and fellowship training at the University of New Mexico, where I gained extensive experience working with patients and families from diverse ethnic and cultural backgrounds. My training encompasses a broad spectrum of mental health conditions, including attention-deficit/hyperactivity disorder (ADHD), post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD), mood disorders, and anxiety.
I am deeply passionate about empowering patients to achieve their personal goals. My approach to psychiatric care is collaborative and patient-focused, integrating various treatment modalities with a thoughtful, therapeutic approach to medication management. I am board-certified in both Adult and Child and Adolescent Psychiatry, and I am fluent in both English and Spanish, enabling me to connect with a wider range of individuals and families.
