Joseph Remaley, LCSW, MBA
Joseph is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW). He received his bachelor’s degree in psychology and a minor in religious studies from San Diego State University (SDSU). He received his master’s in social work (MSW) from the University of Michigan. As a Social Worker, Joseph focused on at-risk youth in the residential setting, and worked as a Medical Social Worker for many years. Joseph received his Master’s in Business Administration (MBA) from National University to increase his leadership skills and further his career in program development.
Joseph has worked in various clinical settings including residential treatment, emergency and medical settings, and inpatient psychiatric care. While working in residential treatment, Joseph has held many roles, including Adolescent Therapist, and Transition Coordinator, which focused on work with the Transitional Aged Youth (TAY) population. Joseph has helped to open San Diego’s first Psychiatric Emergency Department for youth as well as two new residential facilities in San Diego before joining BACA. Joseph uses evidence-based practices when working with clients and families and has experience with CBT, DBT, TF-CBT, solution-focused therapy, motivational interviewing (MI), and psychoeducation.
In his free time, Joseph likes to go to the gym, cook homemade meals, and spend time with his dog.
