About Haoyu Lee:
A native of Austin, Texas, I completed my medical degree at Texas A&M before specializing in psychiatry. My foundational training in general psychiatry was at the University of California, San Diego, followed by a Child and Adolescent Psychiatry Fellowship at Stanford University. During my fellowship, I concurrently served as an APA/SAMHSA Fellow, deepening my understanding of cultural influences on psychiatric care.
My practice integrates a range of therapeutic modalities, including psychodynamic therapy (including play-based), cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), supportive therapy, and family therapy. I offer comprehensive treatment that encompasses both therapy and medication management. While I value both approaches, medication is always utilized judiciously, as part of a broader, individualized treatment plan. I believe in a collaborative therapeutic relationship, recognizing it as a cornerstone for recovery, healing, and thriving.
I am profoundly inspired by the human capacity for change and growth, particularly when supported by family and community, and fueled by self-awareness, imagination, and unique strengths. My privilege lies in guiding individuals and families on this journey toward achieving personal integrity and well-being.
