About Anny Bae:

Hi! I’m Anny (they/them) and I’m currently a doctoral student in Clinical Psychology specializing in LGBTQ+ psychology and Diversity and Community Mental Health. I received my MA in Clinical Psychology at Texas A&M University – Corpus Christi and MS in Clinical Psychology at Palo Alto University. Prior to BACA, I did my practicum traineeships at Adolescent Counseling Services with their OUTLET+ program, in school counseling in Campbell Union School District, Sexual and Gender Identities Clinic (SGIC) at Palo Alto University, and private practice.

My main clinical and research interests include exploring power and privilege perspectives in understanding intersectional and minoritized experiences, and using these multiculturally aware understandings to increase empathy, active activism, and equitable change for all. I mainly work through a social justice-oriented, history and systems, integrated biopsychosocial with a focus on Acceptance and Commitment Therapy lens. In other words, I believe that there are many ingrained systemic, societal things that make many things very difficult for many people but that we can still find and have fulfilling, meaningful lives that align with our values.

Outside of therapeutic work, I enjoy going on walks and picnics with my dog and friends, attending live music shows, musical theaters, drag shows, and collecting miniature things.
