About Denis Ivanov:

Hi, my name is Denis. I was born in Tatarstan, Russia, and I bring a culturally diverse lens to my work as a clinician. Before moving to the US and joining BACA, I provided therapy in both outpatient and intensive settings, working with adolescents, young adults, and families navigating anxiety, depression, identity exploration, trauma, and relational challenges.

As a therapist, I draw from evidence-based approaches such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), while also integrating mindfulness, play-based, and experiential methods depending on the client’s needs. I strive to meet each person where they are, fostering a warm, structured, and collaborative space where growth can unfold at a sustainable pace. My clinical work is guided by respect for each individual’s story, strengths, and cultural context.

Outside of therapy, I enjoy hiking along the coast, reading Buddhist philosophy, and watching thought-provoking movies. I also love snowboarding; it helps me recharge.
